Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree is most suited for entry-level positions in areas such as family services, child welfare, public health, and substance abuse. However, individuals interested in clinical social work often continue their education and obtain a Master of Social Work (MSW). The course is affiliated to DAVV with 60 seats.  The duration of the program is 3 years. BSW stands for Bachelor of Social Work. It is a job oriented undergraduate level course.


Admissions in BSW based on percentage of marks obtained by the student in 12 th  examination   with minimum 45%  for OBC, SC,ST students  & 50% for GENERAL students .The candidates  eligible to apply for the admission only when he/she fulfils the documents  requirement for the particular program in which the admission is sought.


BSW Careers are available for Social Workers in private as well as public sector companies. Social workers can easily get jobs as counselors in health care, adoption, environmental protection, community policing etc.  After this course individuals have job opportunities in schools and other youth serving organizations, hospitals, medical clinics, and nursing homes, mental health agencies, and many others.
